Actually, Moises, the England vs Russia game is Oct 17 and the Dynamo LA Galaxy game is Oct 07th, so there\'s no conflict.

Also to the person who pointed out that all the games were in the US. It did give some advantage to US teams as far as travel, but the Chivas/LA game was definitely a pro-Mexican crowd and many others were evenly split. I do think they should rotate the tournament between US and Mexico every year. Having some games in each country in a single year is a possibility but may result in too much travel.

as a "Come see Beckham" type of game, I think we all know that if Beckham was in top form and ready to play w/England he would just to play w/the national team instead of the Galaxy that day...Let me know what you think?

Mr. Davis? I know Beckham got injured and he might not play here in Houston on Oct 17, but how was he suppose to play here anyway, if England\'s playing that same day against Russia? Is that why the Dynamo office stopped pushing the game as a \

So your arguement Jeff is that the games were not played in Mexico so that conditions the results.
Support your arguement?
MLS teams got results in Superliga against top Mexican squads. It is success for a league that is 12 years old and competes against 3 other traditional sports.
The MLS teams are on a miniscule 2.1 million dollar salary cap comparatively speaking with Mexican clubs.
Have you even considered this?
MLS teams made it difficult for Mexican clubs in alot of the Superliga matches to find comfort.
Why? Because overall the MLS teams provide Mexican clubs with the challenge of work ethic, organization and less space to play in as opposed to the Mexican league. All the while the technical side of the MLS teams are getting better but still not up to par with Mexican league clubs from 1-18.
Don't just make a random statement without backing it up. I have spoken with numerous players in Mexico and officials and they all acknowledge the gap is narrowing.

Narrowing the gap wit Mexican teams? Ha, do not make me laugh, the Mexican league is eons ahead. How many games in this tournament were played in Mexico? Answer me that first, before you put ridiculous comments like these.

Exciting game. I remember not too long ago when the Mexican teams would suffer close, painful losses vs. South American squads in tournament competition. Now they beat them pretty regularly. I think that with a little more money, experience and better player development we'll start winning these competitions sooner rather than later...

I was surprised how well the Galaxy played. Beckham made beautiful passes when he was in. Donovan missed too many opportunities. The good ones make them count. Still it was a very entertaining game. If the Galaxy expect Beckham to be around, they better shelve him for the time being. They allready know what he can do and with better surrounding players, I look for the Galaxy to be a force to be reckoned with in years to come.

wow! what a game! Very exciting and intense. I really thought LA was going to win when Donovan had that last PK. The gap is really narrowing in now
