On a night where fatigue had drained both teams from heavy MLS and Superliga schedules sometimes it comes down to producing one play.
The Dynamo did when Brian Ching hit the sweetest of left-foot volleys that takes the Dynamo into the Superliga semi-finals.
There was no question these two teams were drained at the start. It was evident from body language and the eyes of the players.
So back to Ching and back to last year. He is a scorer of important goals.
How about last year on opening night against Colorado? The playoffs against Chivas USA when he headed the game winner in over Tim Reagen. Or what about the final against NE when it was all but lost.
