LA continues to struggle

One has to be worried about the whole David Beckham factor and his coming to the U.S.
While he will most likely continue his amazing re-surgence and win the La Liga title in Spain next weekend.
His LA Galaxy are one struggling franchise.
Against FC Dallas tonite they were just a poor team. Now granted they have an assortment of injury and national team call-ups but they don’t seem to have the support for England export Beckham. Driving around Dallas billboards put up by FC Dallas don’t have a picture of Juan Toja but of David Beckham.
Are we setting “Becks” up for a big fall? What does he think of this team from afar?
They don’t have a penalty box player to score goals, seem limited depth wise and are in need of players.
Talking to Frank Yallop he is his assured self and who am I to doubt him. Yallop believes that the addition of Abel Xavier at the back from Middlesbrough, Beckham in midfield and an additional striker (from where and how based on the salary cap) things can change.
At this point we all better start pulling for LA or this could be a Beckham bust.
LA needs to be representative. If Beckham tears it up it will be because the league is inferior, if he fails it will be because he doesn’t have a good enough supporting cast. Somehow I imagine that is how the press will make it out to be.
The pressure is on because all have raised the expectations sky high.

Gbandi expected in starting lineup tonite vs. LA Galaxy on HDNET

Chris Gbandi returns to the starting lineup tonite vs. the LA Galaxy at Pizza Hut Park.
Gbandi will try to help reverse the fortunes of FC Dallas who come off a loss to the Houston Dynamo without his services.
He has made the long trip back from Africa after a 2-1 loss to Cameroon on international duty.
In that game in Liberia, Gbandi nearly scored what would have been a goal that might have made him a hero in his homeland.
“I had a good opportunity,” said Gbandi.
I controlled it and hit it. It was going into the upper V but was saved. I would have been famous for a second if it went it.”
Gbandi played at Cy-Falls High School , CY Fair Dynamo and Hurricanes Youth teams and won a national championship at UConn .
He may be partnered on the left side tonite if Arturo Alvarez of Mayde Creek gets a start.
LA is struggling to score goals and has been hit with numerous injuries.
The one real question is who will they have up front to support David Beckham and his passing once he arrives?
