Dwayne DeRosario scored one of Canada’s goals in a 2-2 draw with Venezuela’s national team in a preparation game for the upcoming Gold Cup in Venezuala…….Danvid Beckham had the assist to John Terry in the 1-1 draw with Brazil at Wembley making history with the first ever goal scored by the full England team at Wembley in front of over 80,000 fans. As for Steve McClaren going back on his word with David Beckham what choice did he have. He was struggling and now in the world of “one result” defining the health of a team, England is back on top prior to their qualifying match against Estonia for the European Championships. Fact is Beckham is going to come into MLS on a high, you could not have scripted it any better.
Now the question is…….can LA sourround him with the right players under head coach Frank Yallop? Time will tell….On the Road with HDNET: Currently in NE tonite for the Revs against Real Salt Lake and interested to see the play of Freddy Adu and a young talent Jean-Martial Kipre who was in the youth system of Paris St. Germain. I see Taylor Twellman scoring in this one before the Revs get much needed time off. They have padded their season with the acuiring of alot of points and are primed to absorb Gold Cup call-ups. The line “its still early” is wearing thing because we are amazingly almost one third of the way through the MLS season.
Catch it on HDNET tonite at 6:30 central time. NE vs. Real Salt Lake
DeRosario scores for Canada/Beckham defies critics/HDNET tonite at 6:30 cst
