Liverpool crush PSV/ Bayern two road goals uplifting

Liverpool crushed a injury-laden PSV Eindhoven and are in cruise control to get into the semi-finals of the Champions League after their road win. Steven Gerrard powered in a header in the 27th minute as the Reds took a 1-0 lead into the locker room.
Early second half goals from John Arne-Riise and Peter Crouch coming in the 49th and 63rd minutes sealed PSV and Ronald Koeman’s fate.
The three goal scoreline was more than could be expected for Liverpool.
“We came not to concede and get an away goal so it is even better. To score three goals away in Europe is always good,” said striker Peter Crouch who scored via his head. “I don’t know if it is about the rotation system but all the lads looked fresh out there tonite.”
Meanwhile in Milan ……AC Milan was stunned by Bayern Munich who produced two road goals and have advantage gained heading back to Munich next week. After Andrea Pirlo scored on a header in the 40th minute it seemed as though Milan was in control until Bayern defender Daniel Van Buyten tied things in the 78th minute with an important road goal. With Bayern believing they could get out of the match level at 1-1 a controversial (some may say shady) penalty called put Kaka at the spot two give Milan a 2-1 lead in the 84th minute. Not to be counted out Bayern Munich responded in stoppage time again with Van Buyten connecting to give them the 2-2 draw.
Michael Rensing replacing suspended Oliver Kahn in goal was outstanding producing a handful of quality saves especially in the first half for Bayern Munich.
