Glenn, could you ask Dom about the card accumulation rules in the CONCACAF Cup? Is it two yellows at any time in the competition equals a suspension? I haven’t been able to find a definitive answer on that. I know the Dynamo have a bunch of guys on one card and it would be a shame for them to advance and have to miss a final round match for a second card in Mexico. It seems like the cards should reset after each round or after 3 games or make it a total of 3 cards equals a suspension - it penalizes the teams for continuing on to play.

Glenn, thanks for confirming the card accumulation rule on the show tonight - I still think it is too harsh for the teams that advance thru the tournament. I don’t think any of the European competitions have rules that harsh. Also, going down to Mexico you don’t know how the Canadian ref will react to the crowd and if he gets card happy it really could ding the Dynamo in the final round games.

JJ, the same rule applies to the other teams, too harsh or too lenient, it doesn´t matter. If Dynamo advances to the final game the other team (Chivas or DC) will had play the same number of game with the same yellow card rule.

I recognize it affects the teams the same - I just think it is a poorly executed rule, especially when you can lose guys for having received a questionable dissent yellow in Costa Rica from a crooked ref. I think Chivas is losing Bravo from the DC match because of this.
