Substitute David Navarro of Valencia seems to be the culprit here going over the line by throwing a punch that breaks the nose of Inter Milan’s Nicolas Burdisso.
Inter Milan players begin to chase Navarro and the fight is on leading into the stadiums tunnel.
This is ugly just like NBA fights we have seen in recent years.
I expect that UEFA will levy a severe penalty on Navarro who said the following quickly realizing he is in very hot water with his career.
“It was a lack of respect to everyone in football, for the fans, the club.
I want to say I am sorry to the player involved-Burdisso. It is not an example to young players to follow.”
By the way Valencia advanced on the away goals rule after a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Milan.
