  1. Bruce is a smart man and knows the sport very well, inside and out. However, he has to be the most boring person to listen to. Man…doesn’t anything get him excited or some…flavor?

    Sorry, I digress.

Reyna is a good signing. I don’t think he’ll have that great a season because of the artificial surfaces he’ll be playing on this season (14 games at least?)

As for the WC 2006…there was so much wrong there. From the group draws to players playing out of position to the unwillingness of Bruce to pull a player (Donovan….) when they under-perform and our team being so…so sure of themselves that they probably underestimated their opponents.

  2. El Naranja,
Reyna will play 19 games on the artificial surface. Real, NE, Toronto, New York all on the fake stuff.
I think it will be an issue, Bruce Arena in interview is not concerned. What else can he say?
In interview he said that the team was not confident going into the Czech game…….my response….”doesn’t a coach have accountability for the lack of confidence. Maybe Bruce couldn’t push the right buttons for game 1.?”
The team clearly lacked a definitive leader for me.
